According to the Omega Sector' battle records, there had been previous encounters with a wider variety of Grays, such as Chief Grays, Zeta Grays, and Zenos. However, Grays maintain their species through replication-based regeneration. Since they have focused on replicating on Barnard Grays and Ultra Grays, which are relatively easy to replicate and possess high combat power, it is presumed that is why other Gray variants have vanished.
